St Helens Borough Council has reaffirmed its commitment to the local military community ahead of Remembrance weekend through the signing of the Armed Forces Covenant.

A number of Remembrance Sunday services will take place across St Helens Borough on 10 November to honour those that gave the ultimate sacrifice during conflicts of the 20th and 21st centuries.

More than £12m of grant funding will be invested into improving the borough's road infrastructure to support active travel and economic growth, following approval at a St Helens Borough Council Cabinet meeting this afternoon (Wednesday 23 October).
