Local wildlife sites
Local wildlife sites are areas of land in north Merseyside which are especially rich in wildlife. These sites make a major contribution to the ecological diversity of the area and are part of our natural heritage.
However, local wildlife sites are non-statutory and their indication does not dictate how the land is to be managed.
