Referendum

Through the neighbourhood planning process, the qualifying body (parish or forum) should be engaging with the community to ensure the plan reflects the wants and needs of the community. Continuous engagement and involvement with the community, and publicity and promotion of the neighbourhood plan, can ensure knowledge of the plan is developed throughout the community. Formal consultation is also required as part of the plan production process, and this involves making people and individuals in the community aware of the plan and its policies and giving them an opportunity to make comments on the plan.
