Gary Jotter & The Magical Murders

IMAGES FOR 2019

Highly Suspect created an interactive murder mystery event placing the public at the scene of a magical crime. By analysing the evidence, interrogating the suspects and separating the fact from the fiction, audiences were invited to solve the murder and catch a killer.

Storytime with Mama G

IMAGES FOR 2019

Combining panto, drag and the traditional art of storytelling, Mama G shared tales that celebrated being who you are and loving who you want. The stories were designed for children aged 3+ and their families and focused on positive social messages.

Merseyside artist Kate Hodgson believes in the power of print to shape and to shift conversations. As part of 2018's Liverpool Independents Biennial, Kate worked with Parr-based women and their children to produce a new print-based creative project.

Through these printmaking workshops, along with the group's passion for crafting, the collective produced a series of posters, T-shirts and totes which were displayed at Parr Library in celebration of International Women's Day 2019.

Outfit for 35 People

As part of a successful Cultural Hubs application to receive funds to create a new artwork, artist Kate Hodgson created an Outfit For 35 People.

Outfit For 35 People culminated as a group t-shirt wearing performance taking place at St Julie's Catholic Primary School. A video of the 35 school pupils wearing the screen-printed outfits was shown at Eccleston Library alongside the t-shirts during March.

The Hard Way: The Story of Hannah Mitchell

IMAGES FOR 2019

This show celebrated one woman's determination to take power in the face of insurmountable barriers, motivated by a desire to improve life for those around her. The Hard Way was a one-woman show of storytelling with songs by acclaimed musician and composer Louise Jordan.
