I Don't Know What I'm Supposed to Be Doing
Especially created for libraries, this show from Emma Decent took audiences on a journey through time, mother-daughter love, and life re-evaluation. A funny, moving and inspiring tale using poetry, theatre and library books.

St Helens Through the Lens
In 2016, a Heritage Lottery Fund grant was awarded to St Helens Archive to digitise, preserve and explore a collection of over 3000 glass plate negatives discovered in a pet shop in the 1980s.
Artist Debbie Adele Cooper was commissioned to create a unique artwork using the glass plate negatives as inspiration. The work, blending public conversation, photography, sound and light drew extensively from local heritage and archive imagery.

Wood Pit Disaster Commemoration Concert
On the 7th June 1878 a huge explosion ripped through the Wood Pit Colliery in Haydock. The disaster cost the lives of 204 men and boys, leaving behind 92 widows and 282 orphaned children.
We joined Haydock Male Voice Choir at Haydock Library in the build up to the 140th anniversary of the disaster to pay tribute.

Refugee Week 2018
A collection of creative events were programmed for Refugee Week 2018, including a panel discussion chaired by Vanessa Altin (author of The Pomegranate Tree), and visual artworks produced by Tuner Prize nominee Mark Titchner, who worked closely with refugee and asylum seeker artists to create works imbued with lived experience. The project was originally part of ArtReach Journeys Festival.
Claire Weetman worked with Sophie Tickle and SOLA ARTS to produce a collection of visual, digital & movement works exploring the feelings and affects of displacement.

The Boy Who Bit Picasso
With storytelling, music, and lots of opportunities to be creative, The Boy Who Bit Picasso was a hands-on and hilarious family show that introduced young audiences to one of the 20th century's most influential artists, through the eyes of a young boy.
