Ranger Service

Our park rangers provide environmental information, advice and support, as well as a friendly face and helping hand, to local residents and visitors alike.

• We organise events and activities for all ages in local parks, open spaces and woodland sites.
• We provide information on other walks, trails, wildlife and natural points of interest.
• We undertake conservation works and encourage community involvement.

We liaise closely with local people via focus groups and 'Friends of' meetings, in order to share future proposals and get input into the forward management of local parks and open spaces.

We organise a wide variety of regular events and educational activities for groups of all ages, utilising our numerous parks, open spaces, and other woodland sites.

We've also previously produced free guides for some excellent walking trails around the borough.
