From 14 November 2022 to 23 December 2022, our bulky collection dates will be available five days a week, Monday to Friday.
You can recycle your good-quality furniture for re-use by contacting TANGO (Together As Neighbours Giving Out) on 01744 607388. They are a Haydock-based community group providing support and resources for families and the community.
They are always in need of large items that can be re-used, such as beds, wardrobes, tables, chairs, suites, cots etc. They also look for donations of working electrical items including washing machines, cookers, freezers, microwaves, vacuum cleaners, kettles etc.
Willowbrook Hospice also have donations warehouses, in Sutton and Prescot. They ask for good quality furniture and household items that are in good enough condition, that they can use to sell in their shops to the local community; this helps to raise vital funds for their hospice. You can book a collection online. Their contact telephone numbers are 01744 413112 for St Helens and 0151 541 7806 for Prescot.
The British Heart Foundation offer a collection service for good quality furniture that can be reused; they may ask if the item you are donating has a safety label on. They also have shops you can take smaller household items to. You can book a collection online. Their customer services number is 0300 330 3322.
Alternatively, St Helens Borough Council offer a bulky waste service for your furniture that cannot be reused. When you book any items in you will get a date that the crew will pick them up.
Standard Collection - £18.75 for 3 items (£6.25 per additional items)
Special Collection - £31.50 (Max of 3 items)
White Goods - £13.50 per item
Occasionally some items are too big for the wagons or heavy for our crews, so there are some items we unfortunately cannot take. We do not take excess bin bags.

- Items need to be placed in your front or back garden or on your driveway from 6:30am.
- If you want the items collected from the back of your property please ensure our crew can get along the rear access and it is not overgrown. The crew have a key to open alley gates.
- Please make sure items are not bigger than 6ft x 4ft or they will not fit in the back of the vehicle and may not be collected.
- You must keep items dry and covered where possible.
