St Helens Active Lives & Sports Development Events

We deliver a number of sport and physical activity events and activities across St Helens, including the St Helens Colour Run, St Helens Santa Dash, International Women's Day, Older People's Day, half-term activities and more.

Join us at the 2024 St Helens Santa Dash! Saturday 7th December, 11am in Victoria Park

This fun event is for all abilities; you can run, walk, skip or jump with friends and family around the 4km loop! Entry is £5 for adults and £2 for children/young people aged 5-18. Children under 5 are welcome free of charge. Every paying participant will receive a hat to wear on route, plus a medal when you finish. (If you would like a Santa Hat and a medal for a child under 5, you can pay the £2 if you wish). All profits will go to the Mayor's Charity; The St Helens Young Carers Centre. St Helens Autumn Couch to 5k - Booking Now Open

Our Autumn Couch to 5k programme starts on Monday 23rd September 2024. This 10-week beginner fitness programme uses a mix of walking and (optional) jogging, to gradually build up your running/walking ability. National Fitness Day - Monday 9th September 2024 - FREE Taster Sessions!

Join us on Monday 9th September, as we celebrate National Fitness Day! Come and try our Gentle Exercise class at Peasley Cross United Reformed Church taking place 11.15-12pm - just wear something comfortable and bring a drink. The session uses a mix of seated and standing exercises.  not Ever wondered what happens in our St Helens Couch to 5k programme? Join us for a free walk-fit taster session 5.30-6pm at Sutton Leisure Centre or just come along and ask the team any questions, ahead of our Autumn programme, which starts on Monday 23rd September.

Looking to Volunteer? Join us at the 2024 St Helens Colour Run!

This year's St Helens Colour Run is taking place on Saturday 29th June in Victoria Park, helping to raise vital funds for Willowbrook Hospice. If you'd like to lend a hand on the day, or maybe gain some volunteer experience, we're looking for friendly marshals who can support the fun runners around the course - no experience necessary! All Welcome Walk - Thursday 20th June 2024

Join us at St Helens Library, World of Glass on Thursday 20th June 1.30pm, for our All Welcome Walk. We're teaming up with our colleague in St Helens Libraries to take you on a fun walk, followed by refreshments. Easter 2024 Events

Are you looking for family activities during the Easter holidays? We're working with our colleagues at St Helens Libraries to bring you three free Family Fun Activity sessions, suitable for families with children aged 4-11 years. We'll take you through some fun gentle movement to music and an adventure or book hunt around the library:

We have two Family Fun Multi-Sport sessions taking place at Sutton Leisure Centre, suitable for families of all ages and abilities. Just £5 per family (not per person), for a two-hour session with activities including badminton, indoor tennis, dodgeball, fun games and more:
